I’ve just finished doing a bit of jiggery-pokery with the setup of the website so that there’s now ’special’ sections for the things I write about most, admittedly there’s only 4 sections, and one of them is ‘general‘ which pretty much covers everything other than ‘baby stuff’ and ‘photography‘ (the other 2 categories). Then of course there’s ‘site news‘ which is where this post will be filed. See, I’m all organised. I’m off to sort out my sock draw, by colour, size and thermal insulation.

oh, but before I do, a few weeks ago I added Google Adsense to the site (over on the right if you scroll down a bit) which so far has earned me a staggering amount of cash - $0.18! Every click earns me money, which is great if people actually click on them… this time next year Rodney

Another photo from the excursion to Whitby. I had to fiddle with this one a bit more by giving it a bit of a perspective blur, cropping it down and playing with the colours. Its still not perfect, being slightly over exposed, but its good enough for now.

I went on a daytrip up to Whitby with Andrew today for a long overdue photography outing, its been too cold over the last few months and I’ve been lacking inspiration. Whitby isnt the ideal place for my personal subject preferance, although I still got some nice shots. I’ve added one to the ‘Photography‘ gallery since it didnt need much tweeking to get it looking nice. Reminds me of the cover of a stone roses album a little.

I’m still not happy with the colours, my camera over-blues things generally and the gravestone itself looked like it was made from sandstone, so its fairly yellow rather than the stone grey you’d expect it to be.

I’ll add more photos when I’ve finished faffing!

Well, I’m nothing if not consistant. This is turning into a bit of an annual event, fingers crossed I wont be moving again in another 12 months…

Due to some ‘business manuvers’ that are afoot within Domnick Hunter, I dont feel quite as secure here as I would like given the fact I’ll be a parent somewhere in the middle of this year. Knowing that very shortly you’re going to have the responcibility of providing for your child is a very sobering thought and it was really all the push I needed to decide that it was time to move on, again.

This time I’m off to Nonlinear Dynamics, based in Newcastle, right next to 55deg North. Its basically the same sort of stuff as I do now, just for a different company with a different set of clients and different needs. Hopfully its going to be everything I’m expecting, from what I’ve seen so far it will be.

I finsh at DH on Friday 13th of Jan (which I hope isnt an omen!) and start at NL on the following monday.
