I went to see Oasis play at the Arena in Newcastle on tuesday night… bloody great they were too! I’ve been a fan since I bought the Definitely maybe album when it first came out, thats around 11 years ago now. I was a little worried they’d have lost their touch a little but I was proven totally wrong. The atmosphere was great, the arena totally packed and dispite stupidly high temperatures (I must’ve lost at least a stone in sweat) they played a good 1hr 45min set. I’d have liked to have heard a few more older songs but as a friend quite rightly pointed out, they’ll never get new fans if they just play the old stuff. Plus its the tour for the new album so I guess you have to expect new songs. In a way I wish I’d seen them sooner, in my teenage years I was a massive massive fan but as I’ve got older and my tastes have changed they’ve lost some of the appeal they once held. Still a cracking concert!

I was recently lucky enough to meet two fab ladys, Kirsten and her daughter Kennedy, whos 8, and I’ve been seeing alot of them both lately which has put a great big smile on my normally grumpy mug. I’m a very happy bloke at the moment and it looks like i’m going to stay that way.

Kennedys the brightest 8 year old i’ve ever met, her handwriting puts mine to shame! Shes a good artist too…Heres an example she drew for me and her mum!.

After putting it off for what feels like ages I’ve finally sorted out the site, and wouldnt you know it, it was something simple. On to the updates… started the new job, everythings going really well and i’ve adjusted to using asp rather than php quite quickly (i think) although I’ve still got a way to go before i can claim to be ‘proficent’.

I sold the corrado, and bought another! this ones a full fat, high suger, high colesterol vr6 in shiny silver and it goes like stink

Since I’m moving jobs, i’m also moving servers (site was hosted by my old employers) so chris-hill.co.uk now finds itself on a brand spanking new server all of its very own. how nice. Currently its still using the database from the old server but I’ll shift that over in the next few days…which might break everything.

oh and the job move is to here. starting from the 18th of Feb.
